2010 Here We Go...!!!

Happy New Year =)

Today is the first day of the new year: 01-01-10

Congrats to Amin & Fadlina on officiating their marriage this morning.. Fadlina's dress was Gorgeous!!

And an advance Congrats to Wajihah & Azmi, who were officially married by this afternoon!

What a wonderful way to start their year!

So.. my last cakes of 2009.. i hope that 2010 i'll be a bit bolder with flavours and really stretch my creativity on designs- i guess thats a resolution ?!

Mas's birthday 30.12.09 cupcakes were Mars Bars Rice Krispies Cupcakes- Surprisingly Yum!

I couldn't resist putting these images up hee hee... Yes it is a nose, made by Zat.. does it really need explaining why we made nose's for him?! hehe..

I spent the last day of 2009 making a special wedding gift, for my childhood friend Ghah.

I hope they like it =)

Helloooo ppl..

Just thought i'd put a quick update of the cakes i've been making lately.. I must say i have enjoyed making the cakes and hearing feedback from ppl.. I'm actually in Singapore at the moment (on my way to Bali..woohoo!) and have super duper fast internet- thats why i'm updating ;p

This was a special chocolate cake i made for my sister.. she insisted it be pink with a pink elephant.. i won't mention her age ;) xx

Another special cake i made for my brother's wedding, as part of the 'hantaran'. I can't take all the credit though, i just made the cake. My very talented friend Diet arranged the flowers- tq =)

And another special choc mud cake (all my cakes are special, incase you wondered ^-^) This was an order from Ka Honey.. and she wanted the text to be in kids writing.. no problems there Ka ;)

Hope to start off on more new and exciting cakes next year for my family, friends and you random readers.. and myself of course!

Fruit Cakes for Xmas.. And the Holidayss!!

Hello ppl.. it's been a gloomy couple of days.. but still beautiful!

Fruit cakes are back.. And they'll be packaged similarly to the brownie goody bags below. Great for gifts for the upcoming holiday season! One loaf size is approx: 8" x 3" and is $30 including the wrapping ;)

Orders may be placed from now until the 16th of Dec for collection before 25th-Xmas!

After 16th you can email your orders to pinkzeebracakes@gmail.com for collection after the 30th of Dec.

Reasons being.. because i'll be away (ie: closed) from the 17th until the 28th of Dec for my brother's wedding.

Wow what a weekend! First time for goody bag orders. And i had two for the same weekend!! Below is what the finished product looked like with 4 slices of brownies inside each bag.

Happy Birthday Muhdiyyah!! My sweet lil'sister-in-law.. hope you liked your cake and your presents!! ;) It was her b'day on Monday (i know i'm very slow in blogging..)

Ultimate chocolate fudge cake.. so they say!

This is the cake i was going on about in the previous blog.. It was not as easy as i expected it to be.. but in the end it turned out to be some what presentable! Unfortunately this is the best pix i've got at the moment, still waiting on some better images (hopefully).. I love the lily though :) This was for Mak Long's birthday- one of her many cakes.. hope she liked it!

Now about that chocolate fudge cake..

Wow.. i made my hubby's dream cake come to life.. well it was alive till it got gobbled up-by everyone else! hehe

This was a special cake for my sis-in-law's birthday last monday- Happy Belated! =)

The cake was super Nyumm! I was really happy to hear from both sides of families that they loved the cake.. Yay!!

back to baking i.e. reality..

Hi guys, i had a gooood break..

My course was really great and really insightful! And it opened me up to a lot of things. Like now i know why my wedding cake cost a 'bomb'.. there's just so much hard work, care/love, attention to detail etc, that goes into decorating cakes.. but realizing this.. i'm still excited to make my special order for this week. I'm so thankful to Kaka A for placing the order =D

It's going to be similar to this cake i made during my course (i hope...*fingers crossed*) but just a single tier and with a lily instead of a magnolia..

Spent the weekend getting back into baking for some orders. This wkend i plan to experiment with a couple of flavours and recipes with a cuz. I'll update again soon with more pix..

Yayayayayayyy!!!!!
i'm finally heading off for my cake decorating course in sydney (been waiting for months, sooo excited!) I hope i learn lotsa new tricks.. i mean skills.. to serve u better desserts of course..

the course is only a week long but im taking extra days off to join hubby on his trips, to relax..*bliss*

i havent been updating---still new to this blogging thing! Hello!! Someone asked me today 'do u blog everyday?' errrr.... was i supposed to?! haha i think the answer is at least more than once a month!! ;p

I HAVE been baking tho.. just havent taken many pictures that im happy to show, or they have been the usually orders of bella donna's etc.. and u can scroll down to see what they look like :p

Brownies

I have been experimenting with brownie recipes..still working on flavours so for now i have the original brownie (fudgy w no nuts) or a more cakey brownie (w nuts on top) and blondie (w almonds)- i know this is a bit blonde but i didnt knooow why they called them that... but now i do ;p it's the white choc factor haha...*slow*

Cheesecakes

I do make cheesecakes.. i had a couple at our open hse for raya and ppl have been ordering them since then, here's a sneak peek at the mango cheesecake:

Last but not least i made an extra batch of Bella Donna's for my best friend who had a baby boy over the weekend.. Cong-rats once again Ronnie & family, he's a lil'angel!! - yes nanti i make ur favourite cupcakes!

(yes.. i need to work on my writing skillsss..hence the course ;) )

Congratulations Emi & Nina

My cousin got engaged recently and i was so happy when he told me, i said i'd make him cupcakes as part of the offerings/hantaran- sorta on the spur of the moment. So, i did the best i could and this was the first time i made fondant roses on my own. And i'm really happy with the turn out. The cupcakes were Just Jane's with a very soft Memo swirl of pink and white, decorated with fondant roses.. i hope they liked it, they never actually told me.. hmmpf!

Hello....!

Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir batin to all muslim friends & family. Hope your Eid to full of family reunions, joy, laughter and of course desserts ;)

Okay, I will be back to baking at the start of next week 28th Sept, please place your orders in advance (at least 4-5 days notice). I'll be taking orders until the 22nd of Oct only because i'll be going away on a short course and will resume again in Nov, hopefully with more varieties for you.

These are snaps of what i made for raya at my house on the 1st day. Unfortunately, I was running up and down the kitchen to refill these all day n night that i didn't really take much pix, so i don't have much to choose from. Anyway, these are Just Jane's (vanilla flavour) and lemon (the yellow frostings) cupcakes and i've done them in a rainbow swirl which i like to call 'The Memo Cupcakes'- inspired by my lil'sister.

I also made a rocky road version of Bella Donna (chocolate flavour) it's got marshmallows, chopped walnuts and cherries- which hasn't been named yet.. But it is really yummy if you like different textures in your mouth at the same time-soft, chewy, crunchy..MmMmm...

Raya orders & Hubby's cake

Hi.. i've been very slack at updating-sorry!

Firstly i need to thank my fabulous photogs who came over late one night and took all the lovely shots of my cupcakes.. So thanks guys =D 

Sooo.. now you'll be viewing amateur pix that i take from my simple camera.. please bare with them.. (unless the fab duo come over again that is ;) )

Secondly, orders for Raya.. I'm sorry i'm not taking any this year. The cupcakes only last for up to 3days, and i don't want to be in the kitchen baking during Raya- well not for the first few days anyway.. But i will update when i'll be back in the kitchen, so watch this page!

Lastly, this cake was made for my wonderful hubby on his bday. The cake itself is Beautiful Bianca, smothered in dark chocolate frosting and it's surrounded by Bella Donna & Alluring Ella cupcakes.

Unfortunately, i forgot to take pix of the Just Jane's and Beautiful Bianca's that were served earlier on in the night. Oh well, i guess i'll have to make more seeing as Em and i reckon having ones just not enough ;) and remember to take the pix before we eat them!
